UPSC Civil Services Examination(CSE) results were announced this week. Around 11 IPS probationer have made it to divine list of successful candidates and would be leaving for LBSNAA Musoorie. We celebrated their success by cutting cake in dining lounge yesterday. For those who could not make it and thus would continue in IPS, I would say, they are still in one of the best services and lot of opportunities and challenges awaits them in their career. In fact, they are also being congratulated by fellow probationers for making it to IPS....
Mangesh is from Village named Tandiyoun, Uttrakhand. He has done B.SC. (PCM), M.SC.(Physics) and MTech(Laser Sciences). He was recipient of gold medal in B.SC. and MSc. He has worked in Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) before in Dehradun as a scientist. His UPSC optionals were Physics and Geography. Last year, he entered IPS with UPSC Rank 131.
Mangesh is a brilliant officer trainee with down to earth personality. He is a music enthusiast, trekker and an athlete. He is an active participant of Cultural, Dramatics and Fine Arts (CDFA) Society in Academy. When we were in the same squad, I can recount a GPS treasure hunt, where he would sprint to next target using GPS devices so that he could feed the clues(which are co-ordinates of next target) kept there in GPS devices by the time rest of the squad reaches there.
