In the first year under the Narendra Modi-led NDA rule, India has grown 7.3 per cent as against 6.9 per cent last year.
The Central Statistics Office (CSO), which released the quarterly estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the fourth quarter (January-March) of 2014-15, has revised the growth rate for the previous quarter (Jul-Sep) from 8.2 per cent to 8.4 per cent.
The IIP of manufacturing registered a growth rate of 2.3 per cent during the whole year of 2014-15 and the manufacturing sector grew by 8.4 per cent during Jan-Mar 2015.
Agriculture, however, grew marginally by 0.2 per cent.
The per capita net national income during 2014-15 is estimated to have attained a level of Rs. 74,104.
