Highlights of the UPSC Notification 2015:-
- Civil Services Preliminary will have two papers. (GS + CSAT)
- CSAT ( Paper II ) will be qualifying in nature. You will have to score a minimum of 33% marks to qualify.
- Cut off for Prelims will only be based on GS Marks.
- Number of vacancies is 1129
- Additional Attempt to those who attempted UPSC in 2011, but are now not eligible due to age limit.
- Age limit for GEN: 32 years, OBC: 32+3 Years, SC/ST: 32+5 Years
- Each Paper will be of 200 Marks each
CSAT paper 2 Qualifying , now confirmed.Check notification .
Highlights of CSP 2015 Notification...
Age limit: General: 32, OBC: 35, SC & ST: 37.
Attempts: General: 6, OBC: 9, SC & ST: Unlimited
CSAT Paper II: Qualifying with 33% marks.
Total vacancies in Civil Services :- 1129
29 for PH mentioned in notification and rest 50% for SC/ST/OBC i.e. 550 and rest 550 for Gen if any other cat candidate doesn't qualify in gen cat.
and hopefully we can expect 50 seats each for IAS and IPS for Gen and 15-20 in Forigen Servies.
No change in the Mains pattern and Syllabus.
