At the Sustainable Development Summit Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030.
It was hailed as an important step for inclusive and sustainable development by all the member nations.
However, the process of achieving SDGs within the limited time frame is moving at snail's pace due to diverse opinions by experts, lack of coordination among various organizations, political ill will by the government agencies, lack of funds, an absence of technologies etc.
Therefore, to achieve such a noble cause it requires efforts of all the stakeholders to work together and not in silos.
